Biography

Paul Wagemann Driven by duty and love of country, Paul Wagemann answered the call in 1968 and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Upon graduation from the University of Washington, he served as a pilot and started building a military career with a reputation of excellence!

The man behind the mild mannered exterior… is actually a decorated fighter pilot who rose through the ranks from Squad Leader and Officer, eventually selected to serve as Lieutenant Colonel. As a test pilot, Paul’s work resulted in commendations from the Navy, Air Force, and the Marines… also honored as a Marine Corp nominee to fly for NASA.

Paul Wagemann Paul and his wife Linda met during this time then married and started their family. After 23 years in the armed forces, Paul then transitioned his military success to a civilian career as a business entrepreneur.  Success throughout his military career followed Paul and opened up a multitude of opportunities in the business world… from owning and operating a computer retail and repair store with a staff of nearly 30 employees… to managing an even larger staff with thousands of products of inventory in the grocery industry. That led to building opportunities in the construction trades, as well as real estate, and mortgage financing.

It was during this experience running and managing businesses that Paul recognized how the government had become more of an adversary to business success, job growth, as well as personal and property rights.  He realized the waste in red tape, redundancy, and bureaucratic road blocks that kept our economy from flourishing.

Paul WagemannWith two teenage sons in school at the time, he saw an education system getting bogged down, overburdening and undervaluing our hard working teachers with over-regulated and underfunded programs that were ultimately undercutting our kids. This all inspired Paul to step up, stand in, and do something about it

The positive impact Paul has on this community for generations continues to grow… from service with multiple branches of the military, to his leadership in business and finance, to his time helping local organizations, mentoring in church’s, serving on neighborhood action and transportation committees… as well as being elected to help shape the future of local education as a School District Board Director and his election as a Pierce County Charter Review Commissioner.

The next chapter for Paul is his pursuit to serve as your next State Representative. His decorated military career, reputation for excellence in business, and commitment to give back to the community all show the great promise of even greater results with Paul as our next Washington State Representative for the 28th District.

We ALL win with Wagemann!
